About Us
The Backbone and Pillars of Our Program

Renu Mohan
School Director
Ms. Renu brings over 25 years of experience in Montessori education and a deep passion for supporting young children during their most important years of growth and development.
As both an experienced Montessori educator and a Montessori parent herself, Ms. Renu understands the Montessori journey from both perspectives. Her experience allows her to support not only children as they develop independence, confidence, and a love of learning, but also parents as they transition from traditional education to the Montessori philosophy.
Ms. Renu received her Early Childhood Montessori Certification from the Northern Virginia Montessori Institute in Ashburn in 2011 and holds an AMS Montessori Certification. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and her Master’s degree in Economics.
Throughout her years in Montessori education, Ms. Renu has worked closely with children, families, and teachers. She believes that every child is unique and thrives when given the right balance of guidance, encouragement, independence, and respect. Building strong relationships with families is equally important to her because she believes that a successful Montessori experience is a partnership between the child, family, and school.
Outside of school, Ms. Renu enjoys reading, nature walks, traveling and experiencing different cultures, spending time at the beach, and, most importantly, spending time with her husband, son, and daughter.
For Ms. Renu, Montessori is more than an educational method—it is a way of helping children become confident, capable, curious, and compassionate individuals.

At Loudoun Montessori School all the lead teachers are qualified professionals who hold a college degree and an American Montessori Society certification. Each classroom has a certified teacher to direct the class and a trained assistant to work with them. Our classroom assistants are trained to handle many responsibilities. Staff members have additional training in areas of child development, discipline and playground supervision. We encourage as much training as an employee might want to pursue. We require our staff to be trained yearly in CPR, First Aid, and Health Screening.
